What is Wimax?

WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a wireless communications standard designed to provide 30 to 40 megabit-per-second data rates,[1] with the 2011 update providing up to 1 Gbit/s for fixed stations. The name "WiMAX" was created by the WiMAX Forum, which was formed in June 2001 to promote conformity and interoperability of the standard.

Nepal Telecom Wimax:

Nepal Telecom has recently started services of Telecom Wimax internet Service which is a latest technology in Nepal working on the principle of wireless connection through the help of tower.Without using any wire connection there is direct connection of wifi hotspot to base station through which network is flow.

As Nepal Telecom has already placed many tower in different location of city , as there can be better connection where a networking tower is find.Nepal Telecom was working in this project for long period of time and finally it has complete this project.Before ashoj 2069 end telecom check its trial then release for public.
